Human
Daithí was a young man, almost 20 at the time. He was not known by many, but those who did tended to avoid him. They whispered and talked, but never dared to say anything straight to his face. That doesn't mean he didn't hear them, though. "He's nothing but trouble," "Cursed," and "Son of the devil, that boy," were only a few of those hushed whispers, and Daithí tried his best to pay them no mind. He never truly understood where those rumors came from in the first place. He always assumed it had something to do with his parents. His father died when he was young, and his mother- It wasn't quite fair what happened to her, but if they truly believe he's related to the devil of all things, it should be no surprise they thought his mother was a witch. Humans really can be cruel, he used to think, but the longer he lived, the more he wondered if humans were anything but cruel in the first place. Meeting the Esk
Daithí immediately felt a sense of dread upon laying eyes on the strange creature in front of him. The fog in his mind had returned slightly, and he understood that the creature was the reason he had strayed so far in the first place. The other
Luebella
Luebella and Daithí don't have the best relationship. Bella is one of the only creatures Daithí has a strong opinion about, and that is that she can't be trusted, and therefore should be avoided. The treshold
Shaping their environment
Daithí won't be causing harm on purpose, but also won't do anything good in return. It doesn't do much more than roam around and occasionally scare people off. |
Boundary
Haunted forest
Daithí doesn't quite feel at home in its forest, but it's the closest to one it's ever felt. No prying eyes, only soft and curious looks from the animals living in the dark forest. The voices are nicer too. They're too loud sometimes, and sometimes sound angry, but they're unintelligible. It'ls like white noise. Ever present, but not harmful. Losing their way
Daithí was walking through the forest, once more trying to clear his mind from the curses and damning looks he got all day. He went further than he usually would, his mind feeling foggy, for some reason, as if thinking was too much to ask. He felt himself walk deeper and deeper, not truly knowing why, but he felt allured to continue going. Eventually, the fog in his mind dispersed, and he found himself lost in a dark, eerie part of the forest. He could swear he heard whispers, although they sounded very different from the ones into town. No, these ones felt welcoming, in a way. The transformation
